When the Wind Speaks

When the Wind Speaks

I sat alone on a quiet hillside, listening to the wind. At first, it was only a breeze moving through the trees, but the longer I listened, the more it seemed to have a voice.

It spoke of things that happened long before I arrived—of rivers that carved valleys, of towering trees that rose from tiny seeds, of birds that returned every spring as if they carried memories older than time itself.

Then the wind changed, and its voice softened.

It whispered of tomorrow. It reminded me that every sunrise brings another chance to notice what most people hurry past. Every photograph not yet taken is waiting patiently, somewhere beyond the next bend in the trail.

The wind never promised that life would be easy. It only promised that it would keep moving. It carries away yesterday’s disappointments just as surely as it brings tomorrow’s hopes.

As I sat there, I realized the wind wasn’t really speaking to me.

It was teaching me to be still enough to hear what had been there all along.

Sometimes the greatest stories are not found in books or spoken by people. They are carried on the wind, waiting for someone willing to stop, listen, and believe that nature still has something to say.
